Happy New Year!
Kicking off the year I was interviewed on Sunrise (yes, that hugely popular breaky show) for a segment on career changes and jobs of the future. Watch the segment here and below.
I think I’m now the first ‘VC’ to be on Sunrise(?) which potentially shows the changing times. Talking about tech on Breakfast TV is definitely something new for me but also reaches a way bigger audience which is great – too often tech is just talked and promoted about within the (small) tech circles.
I know a lot of people are thinking of career changes in 2021 and some will even join funded startups so my core message is that non-tech skills are transferable and look into newer and growing companies, not big established ones.
My Industries to watch (for AU):
- B2B startups
- AgTech
- MedTech
- SpaceTech (not just building stuff to put into space but also all the services around it!)
And didn’t make the list but might add renewables/Green tech as an emerging space in AU to watch.
